In the past few years, we’ve witnessed increasingly intense storms, including a record number of tornadoes. These events remind us that we must act now to protect our growing camp community.

The Challenge
Our summer programs at Camp Mitigwa and Camp Akela are thriving, welcoming more Scouts, families, and staff each year. However, with this growth comes the urgent need for additional storm shelters strategically placed across both camps.

Right now, we need your help to ensure that:

• Every camper has quick access to a safe shelter.
• No one is left vulnerable when the weather turns dangerous.
• Our camps remain a trusted, safe haven for year-round outdoor experiences.
