Merit Badge Counselor
The merit badge counselor is the key to success in the merit badge plan.
Counselors offer their time, experience, and knowledge to help guide Scouts in one or more of the merit badge subjects.

Merit badge counselors must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America. A counselor must have approval from the BSA local council, but there is no cost to serve. Download the
Adult Volunteer Application from Scouting.org by clicking here
. All volunteers are expected to complete BSA Youth Protection Training within 90 days of assuming a leadership position.

. Once completed Merit Badge Counselor sign up, print form below and return signed copy to Mid-Iowa Council to put in effect.
