Merit badge counselors must be registered members of the Boy Scouts of America. A counselor must have approval from the BSA local council, but there is no cost to serve if they are registered in anouther leadership position. If not already registered in a leadership position, there is a $25.00 per year cost.
All volunteers are expected to complete BSA Youth Protection Training PRIOR TO assuming a leadership position. Training is available online.
Please complete Merit Badge Counselor sign up below after your Leadership application has been submitted. Once both have been completed and the background check is approved you will be able to act as a Merit Badge Councelor.
