  • District and Council events provided by an outside vendor (such as Science Center, I-Cubs, Iowa Wild Game, etc.) may charge and collect a fee for tickets, etc. Those fees are not charged or collected by Mid-Iowa Council but are retained by the vendor
  • Council Fundraising Events will have fees associated with them.  These events are to raise funds to assist the council in providing programming, no cost activities, trainings, and events, for members.  Fundraising Events include but are not limited to: Governor’s Luncheon, S.T.A.R.S event, Sporting Clays, etc.

National Trainings (NYLT, Wood Badge, Powder Horn, Wilderness First Aid)  Although these trainings are provided at the council level, they are National Training Opportunities and will have a fee associated with them.

Expeditions/Long-term Camping (Mitigwa Scout Reservation Summer Camps, Philmont, Sea Base, National and World Jamborees, etc.) – are great opportunities that many youth and adult Scouters participate in at an additional expense that is not covered by your annual membership registration fee.

Order of the Arrow is maintained by the Mitigwa Lodge.  Members pay their O.A. membership fees to the Mitigwa Lodge and all OA events are provided by the Mitigwa Lodge. These events are not covered by your annual membership registration fees.

Thank you for everything you do to improve the lives of youth though the Scouting program.
